How a hound hunt works
You judge the animal before the shot
- Find the trackWe check roads and canyons before dawn for fresh sign.
- Turn out the dogsThe hounds work the track until the lion or bear trees or bays.
- Get to the treeYou follow the race on foot. It can be steep, rough country.
- Make the callWith the animal treed, you take your time, judge it, and decide.
